Privacy Policy for TXPS Sports
Last updated: October 8, 2026
TXPS Sports is operated by Rest Sports Media. This Privacy Policy explains how the TXPS Sports Android app and the website at txpssports.com handle information. Questions can be sent to info@txpssports.com.
Information we handle
Sports information. TXPS Sports displays information about schools, teams, schedules, games, scores, sources, and score changes. The app does not publish fan profiles, athlete profiles, or student rosters. A score or other sports fact may remain after an account is deleted if information that links it to the contributor has been removed.
Accounts and private profiles. You can browse without giving us an email address. If you report a score, the app creates or uses a Firebase Authentication identity. This may be an anonymous account. To report a Final score, you must register or sign in with an Email/Password account and verify the email address. Firebase assigns an account identifier.
You may choose to save a private screen name and a preferred TXPS Sports metro region. The region is only a content choice. TXPS Sports does not treat it as your physical location or use it to determine where you are, and it is not shown publicly.
Passwords entered for sign-in or recent-account verification are sent to Firebase Authentication through the app’s encrypted connection. TXPS Sports does not store plaintext passwords in its profile records.
Fan score reports. When you report a score, we receive the game, its status, the score or supported set result, and—when the feature calls for it—the game period or clock. We also use confirmation, request, revision, status, and time information to prevent duplicates, review conflicting reports, publish the latest score, and recover an interrupted submission. The fan score form does not ask for an open-ended note.
Website and support messages. If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We may ask for your name, school or organization, a description of the issue, and useful device details. Do not send passwords, sign-in tokens, government IDs, student records, or other information that is not needed to resolve the request.
When you visit our website, the services that deliver the page may process normal request information such as an IP address, browser or device information, the page requested, and the time of the request. TXPS Sports does not use this information to provide a physical-location feature or for advertising. This statement describes TXPS Sports use; it does not attempt to describe every independent use a service provider may make under its own terms.
App, device, and security information. We use Google Firebase, Google Cloud, and Google Play Integrity to operate and protect the app. Depending on what you do, these services may receive an app-installation identifier, account identifier, app and software version information, IP address, browser or device-platform information, the server feature requested, security and integrity information, and request or delivery status. These services use this information to authenticate accounts, perform requested app functions, prevent abuse, and protect the service.
The Android app does not request location permission. TXPS Sports does not use an IP address, device signal, or preferred region to infer your physical location for a TXPS Sports feature. Service providers may still process network information for routing, security, fraud prevention, and their documented service operations.
The app does not include Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, an advertising SDK, or an in-app purchase SDK. We do not use account or device information for third-party advertising.
Restricted operational access. Authorized personnel use restricted accounts to review selected school records, handle support and deletion cases, and operate the service. Access is limited to the information needed for those duties and is not a public registration feature.
How we use information
We use information to:
- sign users in and maintain private profile choices;
- receive, compare, review, publish, and correct scores;
- show the content region a user chooses;
- prevent duplicate, fraudulent, unauthorized, or abusive activity;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and recover app features;
- process account-deletion and support requests; and
- respond to messages from fans, schools, teams, and other contacts.
Service providers and disclosure
Google Firebase, Google Cloud, and Google Play Integrity process app data on our behalf for authentication, databases, server functions, security checks, logging, and related infrastructure. Website, network, and email providers process the information needed to deliver pages and messages. Google’s current Cloud Subprocessor Register provides current information about relevant Google subprocessors.
We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising. We may disclose information to service providers acting on our behalf, when required by a valid legal request, when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate notice and safeguards.
Information kept on your device
The app keeps certain profile settings and limited recovery information on the device so it can safely resume an interrupted score report or account deletion. Android backup settings exclude this app-preference and recovery information from cloud backup and device transfer. The app clears recovery information when the related process completes.
Uninstalling the app may remove information stored only on that device, but uninstalling by itself does not request deletion of account data held by the service.
How long we keep information
We keep active account, private-profile, score-processing, and security records while they are needed to provide and protect the service.
When account deletion completes, we delete private account information or remove its connection to the account. Public sports facts and score history may remain after that connection has been removed.
Records that confirm a deletion request or an account-sign-in deletion are scheduled to expire 30 days after completion or the related event. Removal by the service provider happens asynchronously, so we do not promise deletion at an exact hour or day.
Some de-identified security and audit records may remain longer while their automated retention process is paused. We do not promise a specific removal date for those records while that process is paused.
Google service and security logs may remain under provider retention settings, including configured periods of 30 days for default logs and 400 days for required audit logs. Not every log was inspected, so we do not claim that every log contains—or does not contain—account information.
If you contact us about account deletion, we may keep the request email, the minimum information needed to verify ownership, and the case status for 90 days after the case closes. Only authorized personnel handling support, deletion, or escalation may access it. Unnecessary attachments and personal details should be removed sooner.
We did not identify an active managed database backup or export for this service. We could not verify that no historical manual export, off-project backup, provider log, or similar copy has ever existed. We therefore do not promise immediate deletion from every possible copy. Any retained copy remains subject to access controls and its applicable retention or deletion process.
Account deletion
In the app, open Profile, choose Delete my account, review the warning, and confirm. If you use an Email/Password account, the app may ask for your password to confirm a recent sign-in. An anonymous account can use its current signed-in session.
The app prepares a recoverable request and removes the account’s sign-in. Cleanup of associated information can continue after you are signed out. If cleanup is interrupted, the service retries it. If it still cannot finish, the request is sent for support attention and the app provides a reference you can share with support. The app reports completion only after the service confirms that cleanup finished.
Public sports facts may remain after information linking them to the account has been removed.
You can also start a request without reinstalling the app by visiting https://txpssports.com/delete-account or emailing info@txpssports.com. Sending an email does not prove that you own an account. We ask only for the minimum information needed to verify ownership.
We aim to acknowledge a request within seven calendar days. After ownership is verified, we aim to complete the request or explain the specific unresolved reason and escalation path within 30 calendar days.
If an anonymous account’s signed-in session has been lost, we currently have no reliable way to connect an email request to that account. We cannot delete an anonymous account based only on an unverifiable email claim. If you still have the anonymous session, use the in-app deletion option before uninstalling or clearing app data.
Children and school information
TXPS Sports is intended for people age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account or submit a score if you are under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information through the app or support email, contact info@txpssports.com so we can review the request.
School, team, schedule, and score information concerns school sports, but it is separate from a fan’s private account profile. Do not send student records or unnecessary information about an individual student through support.
Security
Information sent by the Android app to its production services uses encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Access to private profiles and deletion records is restricted through sign-in, app-integrity checks, server functions, and access rules.
Ordinary support email is separate from the app’s protected data connection. Email-provider transport and end-to-end encryption were not verified, so do not send passwords, sign-in tokens, identity documents, student records, or other sensitive information by email.
No system is perfectly secure, and this policy does not promise absolute security.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app, website, service providers, or data practices change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required for a material change.
